City Kids Week - 32

Another week on the farm has come and gone.  Another calf was born.  The turkeys were processed.  Continuing to add more manure to the garden to put it to bed and continuing to harvest.  Apple Pressing has begun, leaves are really starting to change and we had our first frost!

City Kids - Week 31


After several extremely hot days on the farm it finally feels like fall!!

Look what has been going on:

Jypsy was born to Julia on 9-25-17
She is a wild one!

Natasha's bull, which farmers' named Nanny
Born 9-28-17
This Friday Juicy and Alabama were weaned and put outside
to pasture with the other young heifers.


The turkeys have grown so much in 15 weeks, but they still act the same :)

City Kids - Week 30

 On other news; the first day of fall happened yesterday, so it is official!
Below you will see it has been a busy week for the small animal creatures.

We have 4 new bull calfs in the barn.

Vermont's dam is Valentina (he was born Sept. 18th)
Bingo's dam is Bobbie (he was born Sept. 22nd)

Not only did we have calves added to the barn we had a couple leave and join the heifers in the pasture.

Highlights from the Garden: 
Added Alpaca manure to raised beds
to prep them for winter.

The farmers planted lettuce this week.


Dug potatoes!!!
30 meat chicks came to the farm….they have been enjoying
the summer weather in the garden!


Rodney and his 3 hens came back to the garden to help
clear the garden of the bad bugs.
