City Kids - Week 35

The fall rain finally came.  Bringing the leaves down with the rain, but the farmers
were rays of sunshine through it all!!

The leaves have mostly left all the trees

City Kids - Week 34

Youngest heifers were moved to the heifer barn

Arizona calved bull calf named Aladdin (10-17-17)















Vienna calved heifer calf named Vergo 10-16-17
Year old heifers now have access to all
pastures!!

With the new young pigs arriving the other two age groups of pigs were merged together in the upper pen.





To prep for all the heifers moving back into the heifer barn the farmers this week, helped us paint the back of the heifer barn!!







The garden is still being put to bed and things are still growing

Greenhouse lettuce is growing

Manure pile was added to the garden
and farmers have been spreading it
though out the garden.

Corn was all pulled up

City Kids - Week 33

Harvesting is still to come, though this week farmers harvested all the sunflowers and helped lay more newspaper and compost on the garden.

No new calfs in the barn, but we have some new heifers in the diary barn, who will soon be cows!

City Kids Week - 32

Another week on the farm has come and gone.  Another calf was born.  The turkeys were processed.  Continuing to add more manure to the garden to put it to bed and continuing to harvest.  Apple Pressing has begun, leaves are really starting to change and we had our first frost!
